I woke up to the sound of the planes flying over my head. I am once again in San Diego after a whole week in Santa Barbara. Back to my morning mate, too much computer and an evening run or surf routine.
It was an intense week full of photo shoots, video shoots, design work, seeing friends and clients. It is hard sometimes to find the balance when we depend on someone else’s schedule, and not having real control over what’s going on. I feel the key is to realize that yes…we are never in control. If we take whatever comes for what it is, then we can enjoy it.
All that I managed to do last week would not have been possible without the help of some dear friends who were always there 100%. Having that kind of support makes the fact of sleeping in a different bed something that wont keep you awake…especially after a long midnight talk.
The come down after such an active and social week can be difficult. It is especially hard to focus on a computer screen for long periods of time. Mate, tea and soothing music go a long way. I need to get back on the download, editing and writing track, and I feel that it is a good habit to be consistent. I should learn how to do this on the go too, but I don’t think I am very good at multitasking.
psst…stay close, there are more photos from last weeks sessions coming soon.
